Trade Associations & Socialistic Government

Has your trade association met your expatiations lately? If so, you should continue to support them! However, most trade associations failed their membership on SB100. It is my understanding, after talking to many construction association members in different regions of our state, that most say they were left out of any discussions about SB100 and were only informed by their trade association chapters after the Bill was signed into law. Therefore, if the trade association members had any knowledge that this bill had passed the House and was headed for the Senate and then to be signed into law by our Governor, they could have protested, perhaps even filed an injunction in federal court or stopped the Bill in the House. There are issues in SB100 that could easily be construed to violate the contractor or business owner's constitutional rights so a federal injunction is not out of the question according to a federal civil rights attorney that contacted me a few weeks ago.

After talking with two Senators who voted for this bill, I sincerely believe they had no idea of the impact and hardship SB100 has put on the shoulders of contractors throughout the state. And now we're faced with HB 400! Has your trade association brought you up to speed on this bill? If not, you need to support Stop-Them.ORG , now as we in the industry have no clue what our government, State or Federal, will dream up next. But you better believe it won't be to benefit your business or any business for that matter.

We can still amend SB 100, and stop HB 400 all together! But we need your help! Ask yourself, can I afford $28 to help Stop-Them.ORG try to make a difference to help me keep my livelihood or am I going to cave into a socialistic government? This in not about republicans or democrats, this is all about a financially weak government that plans to steal from the business owners to help fund government programs. If that's not a socialistic government then what is it?
